KATIE FIELDEN

JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN

Katie Fielden joined the Black Bear Staff in August 2009 as a Junior Kindergarten teacher.  Katie graduated from Miami University of Ohio in May 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.  She is certified to teach pre-kindergarten through third grade.  Katie completed her student teaching in Fairfield, Ohio in an inclusive first grade classroom where she gained experience in differentiating instruction to meet each individual child’s needs.  While living at Miami University, Katie volunteered as a literacy tutor for elementary school children and has been a full time nanny in previous summers.  Katie believes in incorporating a hands-on approach to learning and is bringing this belief into her classroom instruction.  Katie loved last year and is looking forward to a successful end of this year in Junior Kindergarten!
