This year in addition to our morning program we will be offering afternoon classes.For more information go to http://blackbearacademy.com/camp2009 We are having a parent volunteer meeting on Wednesday, May 6 at 9:00am in the parent lounge. We will discuss Mom's Night Out, Tours/Mentor Program, End of the Year Picnic, Autism Walk, Fall Meet the Teacher, and Fall Orientation Day.
Mom's Night Out at the Irish Bistro on Lincoln and Byron is Thursday, May 7 from 5-8.
We are sending some of our staff members to the Learning and the Brain Conference in Washington D.C. May 7 and 8th. This conference helps support our staff training on the neurological development of the students we work with.
Academic Teachers will begin the end of the year testing towards the end of May. We test with the Bracken, ISEL, Woodcock Johnson, and Iowa Basic Skills.
Black Bear Academy will be closed on Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. Make up class for LE, TX and IKI will be Monday, June 15.
